The house had already been added onto serveral times over its lifetime, but was in need of larger individual spaces. A driving force in this project was to build a dream kitchen that could be used to entertain friends while the owners prepare their culinary delectibles. 40% of the existing house was demolished, then the resulting square footage of the house was increased by more than 60% of what the existing house started out as.
